Ferrari Ki Sawaari

Ferrari Ki Sawaari – A breezy entertainer, has the stamp of a movie from Vidhu Vinod chopra’s production… All positive innocent characters… Faced with a situation that could be life changing and they give their heart and soul to it… I felt for the concept the movie could have been a bit short… But still a thorough entertainer…

Azhagar Saamiyin Kuthirai

Azhagar Saamiyin Kuthirai – got to watch it on TV. A very nice movie set in the rural India in the early 80’s.The movie revolves around a simple incident that means a lot to the village and finally solves all the knots sending out a powerful message against superstition, caste-ism and demonstrates human values as the foundation for a healthy society.. The characters are carved out of real life – a good movie

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola – Vishal Bharadwaj has been very successful in tickling the funny bones …. Unlike Kaminey the movie revolves around a social issue… It is a well made satire with talented ensemble casts, brilliant music and engaging screenplay. If you can understand the Haryanvi hindi you would enjoy it even better… I wished the movie had captions as it was difficult to follow the slang in multiple scenes… Despite that … it is a wholesome entertainer that leaves a strong social message with you… Go for it…

Enthiran

Endhiran – Kudos to Shankar and Rajini to do a script which did not rally around Rajini’s mass value, out and out Shankar movie with a different concept, larger than life incidents, dramatic sequences, a great entertainer. only short coming was the length of the movie, Shankar had tried reinforcing several things to prepare the audience to the sci fi concept. Otherwise its a rising sun of Indian cinema!

Rajneeti

Rajneeti – Caught in directors dilemma of basing it on Mahabharat or God Father. Prakash Jha fails to create the same punch as he had done in Gangajal or Apaharan in his native style. Though a good political plot the screenplay might appear to be dragging for people who have seen God Father and many other Mahabharat adaptations.  If you haven’t seen movies like Godfather then you might like this one…

Rann

Rann – typical RGV  movie… it gets on track right from first shot and somewhere in the middle falters a bit… However he had made up for everything in the climax… He has made a bold statement on media which is not bringing news but selling news… Worth the watch for its serious subject, good cast and direction…
